Please upgrade to 2.0 first and then follow

Major new features
-
Awasu now archives content as it arrives.
-
As promised, startup is now significantly faster - you'll all be very
pleased
-
Added a feature to update all channels (Tools|Update all channels) - /taka
bows to the cheering users
You can do this once every 3 hours on the
Personal Edition and 90 minutes for the Advanced Edition.
-
Added a feature that identifies channels that have had too many errors
or haven't received new content in a while and gives you the option of
deleting them (Tools|Clean up channels).
-
Sync is now much quicker and the data files a lot smaller.
There are some new settings on the Save Sync Data dialog. Historical
data controls how much historical data to send as part of the sync data.
This needs to be at least as big as the number of days you usually have
between sync operations. For example, if you sync between home and work,
there can be a gap of 3 days between syncs (Friday morning to Monday
morning) so this parameter must be greater than 3. It makes the sync
data file a bit bigger but not much. Setting it too low will not have
any serious consequences other than some items being flagged incorrectly
as being new.
You also have the option of including the last feed for each channel
in the sync data file. This produces much bigger sync data files and is
slower to process but gives better results (since once you sync the
other machine, you will immediately be up-to-date instead of having to
wait for all your channels to finish their first update).
Minor features and bug fixes
-
If the Channel Wizard fails to parse the supplied URL as a feed, it attempts
auto-discovery (in case the user gave the URL of an HTML page by misteak).
-
You can now jump to an item's description in the channel summary page
(instead of going straight to its link) from the item pane - just hold down
the Control key when clicking on the item.
-
Expanded the list of SGML entities that get translated in item titles, etc.
to fix this kind of problem.
You can also add more entities and the characters they should be translated
to - post something in the forums if you need to do this.
-
Added an option to automatically remove or leave items in the Read-me
list when they are clicked (Display page of the Program Options).
Whatever the setting, it can be reversed by holding down the Control key
when clicking on an entry.
-
You can now use Ctrl-Up/Down to scroll the Control Center and item panes.
-
Changed the way Awasu decides when to start and stop the tray animation.
-
Fixed some namespace issues with the RSS parser. Parsing of xhtml:body content
now also works properly.
