Awasu 2.0.2.alpha3

IMPORTANT: This is an alpha release. Some features are not complete and you will find bugs!

You must already be running 2.0.2.alpha2. Installation is straight-forward:

• Read the release notes below first!
• Backup your Awasu installation directory.
• Unpack one (!) of the following zips on top of your existing installation:
  • Personal Edition (NT/2K/XP)
  • Advanced Edition (NT/2K/XP)
  • Personal Edition (98/Me)
  • Advanced Edition (98/Me)

Release notes

• Channels can now have an expiry date specified when they are created. When channels expire, you will be asked if you want to keep or delete them.
  
  
• Allow the Users directory and user home directories (i.e. $/Users/YOUR-NAME) to be moved elsewhere. Create a file called DEBUG.INI in the Awasu installation directory that looks like this:

  [Debug]
  ' Add the following line to move the entire USERS directory.
  UsersDir=...
  ' Add the following line and insert your logon name to move only one USERS sub-directory.
  UserHomeDir_YOURNAME=...
  

• Added integrated support for using Mozilla as the embedded browser. Check the FAQ for details.
  
  
• Added something to the UI (Program Options, Advanced tab) to control the maximum number of simultaneous channel updates. Lowering this value should help make the UI more responsive if you have been having problems with it.
  
  
• Fixed the problem where a sync load or save sometimes couldn't be performed because channel updates couldn't be suspended.
  
  
• Added more template parameters. Check this forum post for details.
  
  
• Bug fixes and optimizations.
