Awasu 2.2.1.alpha3
IMPORTANT: This is an alpha release (what's this?).
Some features are not complete and you will find bugs!
You must be already running 2.2.1.alpha2.
To install:
- Read the release notes below first!
- Backup your Awasu installation directory and keep it, even if
the alpha appears to work correctly.
- Before unpacking the release zip, delete Resources/Channel Summary Templates,
under the Awasu installation directory. Don't forget to save
any templates you have changed or written yourself before doing this! :-)
- Unpack one (!) of the following zips on top of your existing installation:
Changes
- Added lots of new channel summary templates.
Channels can now also be configured to show "compact" summaries.
- FTP addresses can now be entered as a single URL instead of having to be broken
into the server name and URL path.
- Fixed the problem in alpha2 that was stopping channel images from being shown
in the channel summary pages (due to a zero width/height).
- Fixed an occasional crash when creating lots of channels simultaneously
(e.g. via Import from OPML) and lots of them are being redirected.
- Don't bother checking for new releases if the user hasn't asked to be notified about them.
- Stopped the new notification balloons from occasionally stealing focus from the currently-active window.
- Cancelling balloons now also closes the one currently showing.
- Show ampersands in the new notification balloons correctly.
- Fixed the problem with zero-width item panes (especially when more than one channel window
is being opened at once).
- Handle hex numeric entities correctly when fixing up unescaped ampersands in feed content.
- Added support for included template files.
Template files can now include other templates files using the {%INCLUDE%} directive.
The channel summary templates have had their common part extracted out into a separate file
which is now included (rather than duplicating it in every template file). A new {%BASE-DIR%}
template parameter is now also available.
- Fixed a problem with synchronizatioin that was causing problems with preferred channel names
and descriptions.
- Reduced the size of the crash logs. Also updated the OS-detection code to recognize more recent
versions of Windows.
- Tweaked the display text for related links in channel summary pages (prefer the rel type over the media type).
