Thanks for the update Taka. It figures I'd want the one thing I just can't have. I guess I'll quit pouting and go pick another key, now. :)

hotkey frustrations.

So, the more I use awasu, the more I'd like to make it's hotkey config work with my already established work patterns. I see that there's a fairly thorough interface for manipulating hotkeys, but it seems to lack certain features. Most pointedly, the ability to quickly override existing key settings...

Thanks, those are both great ideas. I'll play around with both of them and see what I can come up with to meet my needs. I'm a little ashamed to say I've never even looked at the user tools, but they're obviously easy to use. I've got some other reasons for messing with templates, so that might be m...

Integrated Bookmarks

Here's something to chew on. I've been spending a lot of time in del.icio.us the last couple of weeks. It's not as perfect as my offline opera bookmarks when it comes to searching, but it is fabulous for it's crossbrowser access from anywhere features. I also make heavy use of the inbox feeds. I'm a...

Computer destroying Atom feed of horror

http://jero.net/ I've tried to subscribe to the feed linked from the above page 3 times. Everything seems fine at first, but as I'd advance through the various wizard dialogs, awasu suddenly goes crazy. CPU cycles ramp up, the same dialog tries to render over and over and over again without success,...

ie 7, beta 2

I was poking around in IE 7 yesterday to make sure some of my webwork is still working. While I still wouldn't use the browser full time, it's nice to see IE moving slowly in the right direction. Here's to hoping that by the time it's done it eliminates the need for ie specific CSS hacks rather than...

Failing to identify an Atom feed

Update: I just noticed another recent post that mentioned Awasu isn't yet supporting Atom 1.0. *sniffle* Guess, I'll just have to be patient for a bit and read this one the old fashioned way. ------------------- I just attempted to subscribe to the following feed: http://www.cookingforengineers.com/...

The images aren't part of the feed that's archived because, well, images aren't part of the feed. What you get from an RSS type file is a big, specially formated, text file. There are tags in the file that point to the location of the images. The binary data of the image itself is not included. That...

Re: minor bug: display error using "find channel"

BTW, "shrunk to zero width" and "turned off" are actually the same thing. Awasu never hides the item pane, it just sizes it down to zero width. That's an interesting point i was unaware of. Based on that I should clarify that awasu was somehow setting both the on state and off state of that item pa...

minor bug: display error using "find channel"

Problem: The item pane is set to innappropriate widths when opening multiple channels from the "find channel" dialog. System config: Program options are set so that item panes should be no more than "one quarter" of the page. Running the optimized version of 2.2. Item panes are positioned on the ri...

Re: RE: channel folders syncing correctly

Um, okay... Not sure what could've gone wrong. It may have been been something to do with the fact that you were upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2 and sync'ing in a lot of stuff at the same time. The update shouldn't have much to do with it, since I deleted everything but registry settings on both systems....

You can use channel reports to output files containing variously filtered portions of your channels. None of the default templates create a plain text list of channels, as far as I can tell. However, I expect that the HTML output of the "my blogroll" template should be pretty close to what you want....

RE: channel folders syncing correctly

RE: channel folders syncing correctly I've worked with this further and currently, channel folders seem to be syncing perfectly, so I don't know exactly what might have been the root of the problem. In case it ever comes up again, here's what I know about what was happening. After uninstalling awasu...

Excellent. Thank you very much. I know most people probably leave these in the user directory. But it sits in program files on a drive that has limitted space. I stuck my enclosures on a seperate drive with a lot more free space to prevent possible crowding. Your solution will work well.

Jeff.
