Re: Email to Rss

I use the POP3 email Plugin with both Yahoo and Gmail email accounts and it works great. :D And yes you can sync your Awasu feeds with Google Reader, and/or republish all or portions of your Awasu feeds as ATOM or RSS or a wide variety of other formats. Awasu is versatile enough that several email a...

Re: Awasu crashes if closed during an feed update...

I'm a dinosaur running Windows XP, but all last week I was in a training class where the PCs ran Windows 7 (probably 32 bit) and I ran Awasu from my USB thumb drive and it ran perfectly all day long, every day. :D

Of course I don't know if I ever closed Awasu while it was updating feeds.

Re: "junk after document element" on seemingly val

Yes this is very cool! 8) Once again Awasu's various extensibility mechanisms are astounding and of course the prompt support ain't bad either.  Feeling somewhat inspired I added a page to Awasu's wiki that lists the different ways that Awasu can be extended and the skillset needed to cr...

It's already moved down to line 485 out of the around 1100 lines.

The title of the invalid feed item is:

Re: Is There Something Wrong With This Feed?

There's a character encoding problem with one of the feed items. When you posted it was on line 350 (L350:C79) now it's on line 434. In a couple of hours/days it'll probably drop out of the RSS file althogether and the feed will work again.

Re: $/feedItems/open API

Thanks, your explanation makes sense to me, you might just try to add another sentence or two to the API documentation. $/openUrl could work for me as I already have the feed items' URLs. I may suggest an alternative in the Feature Requests forum, but I don't think it would be easy for you to do, an...

$/feedItems/open API

I'm not sure that this is really a bug, but let's discuss it... I've started using the $/feedItems/open API to open feed items that share the same <category> element value ( Do you remember the "Category Cloud" Channel Report I emailed you a few months ago? ). I've noticed that when there ...

Re: Wow! - Restore automatically changed feed URLs

I first saw this dialog box yesterday morning before I went to work, and in retrospect I know I didn't read it very carefully or click the "More info" link. I received it again today, probably as a result of my actions yesterday, and I think it does make sense and I totally misread ...

Wow! - Restore automatically changed feed URLs

This is the first time I've seen this dialog box. It listed 5 different feeds all coming from Microsoft who's URLs "have changed during this session". If I read the dialog box correctly, Awasu had already updated my Channels to the new URLs and all I had to do was click the OK button. Also...

It's never too late to learn something new Great attitude! I wish more people had it. If you only have a few online services that you want to interact with then it's good to set up individual Send to tools for each service; but if somebody is using 20+ online services then too many Send to t...

Re: Integrate with ShareThis

halinagold , if you're using Awasu 2.4 then you must be familiar with Send to tools. Did you see the Awasu Wiki page I wrote on Mega Bookmarking Sharing Send to Tools . It demonstrates Send to tools using the AddThis and AddToAny services. Both services allow you effectively send feed items to over...

Re: Question concerning Feed storage

While what you're asking for is certainly possible with Awasu; Awasu offers other features that might enhance your workflow. Awasu's Search Channels can help to pre-filter the raw incoming feed content. When used in conjunction with Channel Reports Awasu can create "virtual feeds", that ar...

Re: Organised Work Pads

I only have 11 Workpads, and I do have some of them that could be grouped by "principal collection themes" too, but it's not enough to worry about right now. Of course I'm using Awasu for personal use at home, but I could imagine if I had to work with 20-50 Workpads it might get a little b...

Re: Best way to ....

Filtering search results by URL will probably have to be done by post-processing... Yes that's the only way I could see it could be accomplished in an Application Plugin, maybe the only way you could do it too. The name is available in the source sub-node. Duh! Why didn't I see that. I need ...

Re: Best way to ....

I think this would be a great feature to have so that you could restrict a Search Channel search to a specific group of Channels. As I mentioned towards the bottom of this post , it's be nice if one step of the Search Channel wizard would let you select "Channels selected by a channel filter&qu...
