Oops. That's a misteak.

This option should be enabled. It will be fixed in the neXt beta. For the moment, you can use ALT-Left, BACKSPACE or right-click on the browser pane to get IE's content menu.

OPML is XML :-) Where did you get the file from? If it's from another RSS reader, there's a good chance it is OPML already. Set up a file that looks like below and that will be enough for Awasu to import from: <body> <outline xmlUrl="..."> <!-- one of these for each channel --> <outline xmlUrl="..."...

Re: Import Feeds

Is there anyway to import feeds? I want to enter 50 feeds, but I am lazy to enter them one by one. Kant What format do you have the feed URL's in? If they are in OPML, there is a plugin that will import them for you. Open the Plugins tab in the Control Center, click on ImportOpml and specify where ...

Re: New command suggestion

Just having been converted to operating Awasu mostly by using the keyboard, feature greed sets in. Keep 'em coming - most of the best ideas have been from other people! :-) Specifically: I would like to have commands for moving one feed forward resp. backward. Somehow I cannot imagine anyone not wi...

What does not work as expected are those nice arrow buttons on the navbar. And I have not checked whether they are listed as known issue or as-yet-unimplemented here. You're not having a good time, are you? :-) The navbar buttons are implemented and no-one has reported any problem with them. Yet. I...

1) The navbar switches not from one read item to the next unread item preceding or following it but to the next or preceding item that was already read - which, in my case, tended to be no item at all. I still don't quite understand what the problem is. Open a channel that has a few items in it and...

Re: All those views

Perhaps I shouldn't have been quite so categorical when I said that prefetching wasn't going to be implemented in Awasu  One thing that I've really wanted to have Awasu do almost from the very beginning is to watch how you use the program and adapt its behaviour to suit. For example, some peop...

Re: All those views

Odd thing is that opting for a faster broadband version (here in Germany you can choose from 128k, 256k, 384k, 512k, 768k, 1.4m for your DSL line) does not have much effect on browsing. ftp is accelerated linearly, but browsing just is not. I think it's the same here in Australia. There are other f...

Re: navbar is not functional

1) Do you know of a tool to test an RSS feed for standards compliance/well-formedness? There are quite a few of these around. Try this one: http://feeds.archive.org/validator/ 2) At first I thought that only some problematic feeds caused this behavior, but after testing more than a dozen feeds I mu...

Re: A suggestion for Pro or Advanced

A suggestion for Pro or Advanced would be to have prefetching implemented. Newsmonster does it. And did you see the stir that caused?! :-) http://www.benhammersley.com/archives/004118.html http://diveintomark.org/archives/2003/02/20/robotstxt_support_for_uberaggregators.html I am very sensitive to ...

For the benefit of anyone reading this thread, this problem has been resolved.

It appears to have been caused by installing 1.0.1 and then going backwards and installing 1.0 on top of it.

Re: diverse questions

Hi there, G'day! 1) Do I have to install Python interpreter to use *.py scripts ? Yes. You need the Python interpreter <b>and</b> something that can do WIN32 calls. ActiveState's Python contains WIN32 support already but if you install the standard Python interpreter, you need the WIN32 extensions ...
