This sounds like you have the auto-hide feed items option turned on. This automatically hides the item pane whenever you open a feed link to give the maximum amount of space to the browser pane. Open the program options and you'll see it in the bottom left-hand corner. [edit] You can always quickly ...

This is a known bug and has something to do with the third-party GUI framework I'm using :-(

I very rarely get it in the channel list or item lists. I tend to get it most in the Read-me window. And yes, docking/undocking the window sometimes helps.

Thanks for letting us know.

OK, I've just finished writing this. It actually works quite nicely. You can generate the summary page manually or request that Awasu do it automatically for you at regular intervals (e.g. every 5 minutes) or every time something changes. So whenever you want to sync with your PDA, you won't even ha...

Actually, no, this is something different. The RSS feed is OK, but the image files use relative URL's not absolute ones. For the benefit of anyone reading this who doesn't know how HTML works, web pages will often refer to images or other web pages in such a way that assumes that the original web pa...

AvantGo is an extremely popular service, but with the master channel summary, Awasu would blow it away both in content available (there are MANY more newsfeeds than there are AvantGo channels) and functionality (having all of the items in one place would make it much easier to read. It will be pret...

Open the Plugins tab in the Control Center. Click on "ImportOpml" and enter the name of your OPML file.

IIRC, there is a bug if the filename contains spaces so you may need to copy your file somewhere and rename it and supply this new file instead.

Re: Great!

Free!!! That's hard to beat! Yep! There will be a paid version coming soon that will have a whole bunch of extra features but the free version will always be fully functional and have heaps of stuff in it. I also like the browser panel navigation, auto-expand, auto-hide and summary - it makes it on...

Re: browser navigation

I'll get the latest version. I was lookign for browser buttons so that we can use the preview panel like a browser. Good. You'll find them there :-) Also, it would be useful to have the headlines display the date/time of the news/article. As it is now it is not possible to see when the article was ...

The Plugins Forum

One of the most powerful features of Awasu is its extensibility. You can write small programs (<i>channel plugins</i>) to generate RSS feeds from any data source at all, not just those published by a web site. You can monitor information stored in databases, the status of a running program or perhap...

Re: Single Summary Page of All Unread Items

G'day. My, you are a veritable fount of excellent ideas! I've been tossing around the idea of having a single master summary page for a while now but using it for offline reading is a way cool suggestion! I'll bump it up the to-do list :-) It should be pretty easy to whip together something really b...

Re: Browser buttons

- previous/next buttons to allow the news panel to go to the previous/next detail page without having to click in the headlines panel (better usability) Yep, this is on the way. There wil be menu options and hotkeys added but I suppose I can put some buttons on as well (I'm not a big mouse person :...

This is odd. Awasu uses IE to display HTML pages but that's it. It doesn't do anything funky with history lists or anything like that. I'll see what I can find. Please let me know if you notice anything else about this problem. [edit] I'm running almost the same setup as you - XP Pro and IE 6.0.2600...
