No, validation doesn't matter to MonitorURLs -- it's just looking at standard Web pages to see if they've changed since the last time it looked. I believe the "https:" (secure HTTP) is what's confusing the plugin. Firefox brings up the https page directly fine, and there is a redirection if you star...

Sorry, but I don't know of any easy way. You should make sure to read the WebScrape Release Notes document, which introduces regular expressions. You can also search the Web for documents about writing regular expressions; O'Reilly has an entire book devoted to the topic. Certainly try to understand...

It seems to indicate that the plugin failed to find the specified URL. If you have verified that the URL was entered correctly, what URL are you trying to monitor?

MySQL can be run locally and individual users should do that; however, one of the input parameters to the hook is the IP address of the MySQL server, so as long as MySQL is available via the network the hook can use it.

Sorry -- title, link, and description are all generated from the pattern matches. I can't fetch the description from the link without rewriting the code.

When I clicked on the link for that URL in the plugin and Awasu's embedded browser displayed the page, it was indeed messed up (graphics particularly). I found a typo -- an extra "/" character -- in generated links. Without it, the page now displays fine. I have e-mailed you a new version to try and...

I've been running the feed for the last few hours; it started off fine. I just noticed there have been several error updates. This was the last contents of the feed: <html><head><meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0; URL=http://spaces.msn.com/members/hollyer/feed.rss?t=70Ia5qu35BQ82xk...

Sounds good. I'll proceed to make the changes. DownloadUrl_UtcOffset should indeed be in minutes and the sign is the same as the timezone offset from UTC (GMT); so -(8 *60) = -480 would be the value for DownloadUrl_UtcOffset for San Francisco. I'll send you the new version and creeper can get it fro...

UTCoffset (a value in minutes -- hours don't work because some timezones use 0.5 hour increments) is the way we decided to adjust for the difference in a WebScrape user's date/time vs. a site's date/time. Basically we need to work with a site's date/time to construct the right URLs. I would be happy...

To be specific about passing a dynamic URL to DownloadUrl, will DownloadUrl accept and "expand" this example from the WebScrape Release Notes?

http://www.newssite.com/folder/%Y-%m-%d/news.html

If so, how is the UTCoffset parameter communicated?

Thanks
