Please have a look at my earlier post, especially the Please update one of the "problem" channels and once it's finished right-click on the channel in Control Center and select "Show last feed". Is there an RSS <item> present for each of the URLs in the channel's list? Does the changed (or not) stat...

I normally run Awasu with the items pane closed. Could/should "Email URL" appear on right-click on an item in the browser pane?

Thanks

Here is a summary of events for a single URL Monitor plugin channel: * Periodically -- at whatever interval you have set in Awasu -- the channel plugin is run by Awasu. * When it runs, the plugin fetches the data from each URL in your list and "mathematically" compares it to the data from the last t...

I've replied via e-mail, but decided to respond to your post too.

From the examples you sent me graphically the plug-in is seeing changes to the Websites: "The site has changed; the most recent changes were at the following times: ...".

What am I missing?

Thanks

Well, Taka and I identified and he already fixed my 2.1.3a3 version of Awasu where I observed a plugin loss-of-configuration problem. However, he said that would not account for any problems on the version you are running. :( Could you please give us a more detailed explanation of what you are seein...

Let me make sure I understand:

You enter the 5 URLs when you create the channel and on the first update everything looks normal. Then on subsequent updates one or more of your URLs are disappearing from the right (settings) side of the channel properties page?

Thanks

Hi, Sue,

I don't understand what problem(s) you're having. Can you explain in more detail or cut and paste examples of what's not right?

Please also let me know the URLs you're monitoring.

Thanks

It could be a company-network firewall restriction, but you should first see if you have a local (running on your PC) firewall active. If so, specify that the plug-in .exe file is allowed to access the Internet.

Sorry -- you'll have to figure out the commands to do this on your own. :(

Are you running a firewall? I suspect so and that it is disallowing the plug-in access out.

Okay, thanks for the extra info. If you run the plug-in .exe file in a command window and supply as the single argument the name of a .ini file containing: [ChannelParameters] account=mumble clientargs=Outlook:Inbox /recycle emailclient=C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~3\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE forcelinebreaks=0 max...

If I understand correctly, you are trying to connect to a Webmail only service -- the e-mail help page referred only to Webmail, not mentioning either POP3 or IMAP4 options for access. As the Release Notes explain, the Awasu e-mail plug-in communicates with POP3 and IMAP4 servers. Unless the account...

What is the e-mail server you're trying to reach? It still looks like a parameter problem.

(If you prefer to e-mail me more details -- NOT including your password! -- you can reach me at abwilson AT awasu DOT com.)

Thanks

Make sure your POP3 server address is correct. Of course your user name and password must also be correct for that server.

What happens if you completely delete, then recreate the channel? Or simply create a new channel using the plug-in?

(Taka, any feedback on the specific error from Awasu's perspective?)

Thanks
