Good Afternoon: I am considerting setting Awasu as my Reader. My concern: I teaqch online using to onlince class platforms. One is Blackboard/WebCE and the other is Educator. Both platforms require that Pop ups be blocked during controlled tasks such as taking quizzes and exams. In short, Pop ups will cause the student to be knocked off the exam and their quiz or exam is no longer accessible.

Question: Have you checked the use of Awasu with either Educator or Blackboard? If so, what problems if any. Thoughts?

Awasu will strip JavaScript from feed content, which is what is used to show popups, but if you just browse to a web page, popups will still work. However, if you're running XP SP2 or later, Awasu utilizes IE's new security features, including the popup-blocker.

You can also get third-party products that will strip popups (and ads) from anything that comes in from the web, and I know there are people out there using them with Awasu.
