Hi.

Is it possible to add a column in the item pane that shows the date when the item is issued, not when it is downloaded?

Regards Kai

Timestamps are one of those unfortunately messy things about feeds :-(

Awasu tracks three different timestamps for each feed item: when it was first published, when it was last modified and and when it was received by Awasu. However, the first two are embedded in the feed XML and not all publishing systems include them, or if they do, they're sometimes a bit sloppy about how they use them e.g. if a feed item is modified, they just adjust the "published" time instead of leaving it the same and inserting a "modified" time.

You can insert a "modified" column to get the last modified time, or a "published" column to get the publication time but if these values are not present in the feed XML, nothing will be shown. And even if they're there, the values are not really 100% reliable since you're depending on the publisher to be using these values correctly

Awasu has a special "timestamp" metadata value that shows the "last modified" time if it's available, otherwise the "published time" if it's available, otherwise the "time received", which is probably the best thing to use.
