It would be nice to have animated icons showing if a given channel is being updated.

I never understood the rationale behind that behaviour in FeedDemon. It's unnecessarily distracting - I don't care when my feeds are updating and nothing new was found, I care about when new stuff has arrived. If you really want to know when channels are updating, you can see it all happening in the Activity Log.

It's sort of nice to know what channel is currently updating - might even be able to work out which channel keeps crashing Awasu.

Care about when stuff arrives you say! I have Read and Unread icons that dance in random and balloons that are out of control.

Wish I could turn off all the balloons and start from scratch.

The 'sun' like icon never works on channel my Channel Searches.

Again, you can see what's happening in the Activity Log. If Awasu is crashing, send the crash log in so we can try figure out what's happening.

It's very unlikely to be the channel updating code, that's pretty solid and hasn't changed in ages. And even if it was, everything happens asynchronously so there's a delay between when something happens and when it shows up in the UI so it would be impossible to figure out what happened just from what you see on the screen.


Exit Awasu, run <tt>ChannelMaintenance.exe</tt> and set <i>Notify On New Item</i> to 0.
