I understand that Search Channels use the third party search engine to produce results.

Typically, search engines need time to INDEX the data.

As such, can I expect a lag in results?

How often / when does the search engine conduct an index?

Do I need to keep Awasu running for extended periods so that indexing can take place.

Thanks.

It depends :-)

By default, Awasu indexes new content as soon as it arrives, so it will be available as search results immediately.

However, this does tend to slow things down a bit so Awasu can be configured to do indexing during off-peak times (check the Archive page in the Program Options).
