Hi folks,

I'd like to request support for CAP - Common Alerting Protocol in Awasu.

NOAA (http://www.nws.noaa.gov/alerts/#cap) uses it for such things as flood. tornado, hurricane, and whatnot, warnings. It would be nice to have it for warnings coupled with office-wide or home-wide sound, Awasu would make a nice warning system over cable or DSL.

Hopefully you'll consider it.

Thanks.

What exactly did you want added to Awasu? These guys are already putting out RSS feeds - right-click on the blue RSS icon and choose "Subscribe in Awasu" (or if you're not using Internet Explorer, copy the URL and paste it into Awasu's Channel Wizard).

Channels can be configured to play a sound when new items are found so you can plug your computer into a sound system and play a siren as loud as you like :-)

You could also do more sophisticated stuff e.g. write a channel hook that gets run every time new items are received. It could analyze the new items and play a different sound depending on what was received or send an SMS or anything else you like.
