Hi Taka,
Now that I am opening up several tabs upon start up, I am getting to see the beautiful array of colors established for them. On my screen they are beautiful shades of blue, purple and rose until suddenly I get a yellow one. Because all of the others blend beautifully, the yellow appears especially bright. It would be preferable, if there is a limit to the number of colors in a palette that can be used, that Awasu simply reuse the ones already used before it introduces the yellow (which is not at all like the lovely gold in your logo and title bar). This is obviously less significant that other functionality considerations at this point, however, if one doesn't like yellow, it's a daily jab. Perhaps as an enhancement request, one could choose the palette for the tab colors such as yellows and greens or blues/purples/pinks? Just a thought. Warm regards and many thanks in advance Taka, Sue |

This will be available in 2.3.3.
To change the colors used, make sure you run 2.3.3 at least once. Then exit and open up your <tt>CONFIG.INI</tt> file and find the line that says <tt>MdiTabColors=</tt> and change it to specify a list of RGB colors to use (# means hex). For example, to have red, blue and green: Code: MdiTabColors=255 #ff00 #ff0000 Alternatively, you can modify the existing color table by inserting a plus or minus sign in front of the color values. The current default color table looks like this: Code: #F2D4C5 pale blue-grey #78DCFF yellow #A1CEBE grey-green #A1A0F0 pink #E1A8BC light purple #B6C19C blue-grey #86B8F7 pale orange-pink #C2ADD9 light purple #D7C2A5 light blue #BEA6B3 light purple #A3D6EA cream #7DFAF6 yellow #9DE9B5 light green #CFC35F blue #8383C1 purple #D5CACA grey so to remove yellow, you would need this: Code: MdiTabColors=-#78DCFF -#7DFAF6 |

Taka,
I am now running 2.3.3 and there isn't a section in my config.ini listing the MdiTabColors. It just says to use them. I have tried entering in that last term you provided as I just want to remove the last yellow and green in the table and when I enter the term (with the undesired hex values) and save the file, Awasu rewrites it and removes the entry... By the way, LOVE seeing my font on the tabs. great job, Taka. Sue |

Sigh... I knew I shouldn't've jumped the gun with the previous post. 2.3.3 hasn't been released yet so you're running one of the alphas. I'll push 2.3.3.alpha3 out tomorrow (which has this change in it) which, barring any spontaneous self-combustions, will also be the final 2.3.3 beta.

Taka,
there seems to be something a bit awry with the MdiTabColors. The minus funciton seems to work, but with this new beta, I dicovered a new color in the basic colors, so decided to simply use my own. I complied my little list and placed them in the config.ini file, but Awasu uses some of them and still uses others I haven't selected and isn't using each one then repeating them. These is one I tried: MdiTabColors=#9EA0DE #96C1D4 #9AB2DE #B7A57F #9BAEEC #C88EC8 #ABA766 #CE7D8C #978DD9 #D8CC9E #949EDE #8AA3D4 #6A7DC5 #7D90B7 #C5AFD6 #777AA9 I can email a screen shot from ColorPic if you would like to see what I was expecting. Thanks, Taka, Sue |
