Archive options

This page controls how Awasu archives and searches your feed content.

• Keep content for
  Controls how long your feed content will be archived for.

  This can also be set individually for each channel.
• Download embedded feed item images for reading offline
  Awasu will download images embedded in feed items so they can be shown even when you are offline.

• Enable the search index
  Controls whether Awasu should update the search index as new content is received.

  Maintaining the search index is a time-consuming process and can sometimes slow Awasu down if you have a lot of channels. If you don't use Awasu's search features, turning the search index off will speed things up considerably.
• Restrict search index updates
  Restricts search index updates to times when you are not using Awasu.

  Ticking this box will speed up Awasu noticeably, deferring updates to the search index to times when you are not using it e.g. overnight. The only disadvantage is that new feed content will not be returned as search results until the next time the search index is updated.
