Awasu » Awasu 2.0 released
Monday 8th March 2004 9:49 PM [Awasu News]

Awasu 2.0 has been released and contains all the features added in the last round of betas. The major new features since 1.2 are:

  • Seriously cool new UI.
  • The ability to use SCP or SFTP or anything else to move sync data files around.
  • Added channel packs to help users find quality channels, especially when first starting out with Awasu.
  • Better support for integrating Awasu with your blog and other tools.

If you are running an older version (1.0, 1.1 or 1.2) and haven't been game to install one of the betas, 2.0 comes with an installer that will automatically upgrade your system. All you have to do is download the software and run it.

If you have purchased the Advanced Edition, send us an email and we'll let you know how to get your upgrade. We are putting together an online system that will let you get this information for yourself which will be available soon so this will be the last time you have to do this 🙂

Finally, the way we are handling upgrades has changed slightly. Purchasing the Advanced Edition also includes 12 months of free upgrades but if you already have the Advanced Edition, your 12 months will start from April 1st which gives you plenty of time to get yourself set up with the new version.
