Awasu » Awasu 2.2.4.alpha2 released
Monday 2nd October 2006 6:34 PM [Awasu News]

The second 2.2.4 alpha release (what's this?) is now available here.

This release builds upon the new synchronization framework added in the first alpha and allows you to synchronize with both Google Reader and Bloglines. While this is a seriously cool new feature, it should be noted that neither of these online services provide an API that allow Awasu (or anyone else) to provide a proper, fully-featured synchronization. However, Awasu does the best it can under the limitations imposed and is able to handle the most common use case: you use Awasu to do most of your feed reading but want occasional access to your most important feeds from a browser. We will be shortly starting the work to modify Gregarius, another online feed reader, to allow for complete synchronization with Awasu. More on this in a later post...

Please make sure you read the installation instructions since there are a few things that need to be done to set up this release and, as always, have fun 🙂
