GetEmail Plugin Channel

This plugin channel monitors an email account and returns its messages as a feed.

• v2 (26/AUG/11): The plugin now handles encoding errors more gracefully.

The recommended location is in the ChannelPlugins sub-directory in the Awasu installation directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Awasu\ChannelPlugins\.

Start the Channel Wizard and choose the Generated by a plugin button. Browse to the GetEmail.exe file, click on Next, then enter the channel details.

Monitoring a Gmail account

You must first enable POP access to your account.

Then start the Channel Wizard as described above and configure the following:

• Server URL must be set to pop.gmail.com.
• Connect using SSL must be set to Yes.

Monitoring a Hotmail account

Start the Channel Wizard as described above and configure the following:

• Server URL must be set to pop3.live.com.
• Connect using SSL must be set to Yes.
