Sometimes you will be advised to create a file called DEBUG.INI that contains settings to control hidden features of Awasu. This file will usually reside in your user's home directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Awasu\Users\YOUR-NAME (if you have installed Awasu in the default location of C:\Program Files\Awasu).

Very occasionally, you will be asked to create a DEBUG.INI file in the Awasu installation directory. Again, if you have installed to the default location, this will be C:\Program Files\Awasu.

Creating the DEBUG.INI file

To create this file, start Notepad and enter the settings that you have been advised to make. Then choose File|Save As to save the file to the appropriate location. Of course, if you already have a DEBUG.INI file, just open it (File|Open) and make the necessary changes (see next section).

Managing the DEBUG.INI file

DEBUG.INI files are divided into sections, where each new section starts with a line enclosed in square brackets e.g. [Debug]. If you need to make several changes to your DEBUG.INI file, you should combine all the settings so that they live in the one section. So, for example, if you are advised to make the following change to your DEBUG.INI file:

[Debug]
TheAnswer=42

and then later are also advised to add the following:

[Debug]
foo=bar

then your final DEBUG.INI file should look like this:

[Debug]
TheAnswer=42
foo=bar

The order in which settings appear is not important.
